Bugbee is a nonprofit community center for lunches, Meals on Wheels, activities, classes, social events, wellness services and social services, and seniors enjoy over 25,000 of its meals each year.
Meals on Wheels delivered by volunteers Monday to Friday reaches homebound people in White River Junction, Hartford, North Hartland, Norwich and Thetford, with frozen meals for weekends and holidays; the suggested donation for subsidised meals is $6, and a self-pay option is available for those not eligible for the Senior Solutions subsidies.
Meals on Wheels is also available to Vermonters under 60 with chronic conditions or disabilities through the Vermont Center for Independent Living.

Adult day is closing in Springfield
Springfield Hospital's adult day programme, Springfield Area Adult Day Service at 266 River Street, was described by its participants as a home away from home.
The hospital reports it will close on September 30, 2026, and Vermont Public reported that it was one of only 10 adult day programmes operating in the state.
A family who relies on adult day should ask the Adult Services Division which certified provider covers their town.
Mt.
Ascutney Hospital in Windsor and Springfield Hospital are the county's community hospitals, and the VA Medical Center in White River Junction serves veterans.
The county's nursing homes are in Windsor, Springfield, Woodstock and Ludlow.
